Huli Kallu is a giant stone cliff in Chara. It is at a distance of 4Kms from Hebri. According to local stories its been said that during the festive time of Chara Mahisha Mardini Temple a TIGER(Huli in Kannada) will come and stay in the cave in midst the cliff. Hence the name Huli Kallu(Tiger's Stone) came in play.Its a good place for nature lovers. During summer evenings you can enjoy the sunset view.
Its sad to say that some of the people are engaged in stone mining in this place. Because of this height of the stone has been reduced a little, but one can still enjoy sight seeing here.
